This group is about enriching the lives of children with autism by educating the parents of these children giving them the tools needed to raise a child with autism. We achieve this goal by allowing parents to meet with and discuss experiences and concerns as well as share resources.
We also achieve this goal by offering monthly meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month from September to June at 7:00 pm. At the meetings we receive information from a different speaker each month who is a professional in the field of autism.
We are into our 10th year serving the Bronx. Please visit our formal web site at http://bxangels.org/ and/or download our slide show from the files section of this website to see our growth over the last 9 years
If you need to bring your child to the meeting, we provide child care in a separate room. Child care is provided by a person who is also emlpoyed as a teacher in a special needs classroom.
If you are attending directly from work, light food and refreshments are available.
In an effort to offset the cost of the meeting we have a 50/50 raffle at all of our meetings. There is no obligation to participate in the raffle. There are no membership fees.
