Through the experience of a clinical social worker who has counseled hundreds of families and one mother's personal journey, learn about the role and effects of grief and loss, dangers of unresolved grief, and strategies for coping, including self care, education, networking and acceptance. All of us parenting children with disabilities are on a unique journey of joys and sorrows - learn how to "ride the roller coaster" among other parents in similar situations.

Kelly Ernsperger is a clinical social worker and owner of Autism Counseling and Behavior Consultation in Indianapolis. For the past 12 years, Kelly has been providing behavior management, supportive therapy, parent skills training, advocacy and education regarding community supports to individuals on the spectrum and their families. Susan is president of the Autism Society of Indiana and has worked with more than 60 children with autism and other disabilities in her Montessori preschool class. She and her husband are parents of two young adults, including one with Asperger's Syndrome.
