This group, for support & encouragement of people who are different, is intended to assist those who are on the Autistic Spectrum.

Promoting the views of ASAN (Autistic Self-Advocacy Network) http://www.autisticadvocacy.org and ANI (Autism Network International) http://ani.autistics.org, we're inclusive, not exclusive. You don't need to have a dx to join us... you're welcome, whether or not you are "one of us".

If you find that the shoe fits and you enjoy our company... there is still no need for diagnosis unless you wish to have one for your own reasons.

Welcoming those who have recently become aware of their condition is a pleasure and we look forward to meeting you and sharing the wavelength that tends to occur when you get a bunch of us together.

It is my mission in life to find the lost brethren among us and gently call them out of hiding, help them to heal the scars the world has imposed upon them with years of being misdiagnosed, misunderstood, and generally marginalized.

There are no age limits to this group and all activities will be chosen specifically to be for all ages so that we can be as completely inclusive as humanly possible.

See you soon!

What members are saying

Because we have a lot in common and plenty to discuss. It is never boring when we get together!

“Hi Susie! Welcome to the group. If you would like a thorough dx, Dr. Michelle Reitman (of Dr. Carella and Associates in North Miami) is on this list. She is the one who provided my dx, and I still go see her occasionally as a psychologist. OTOH if you don't feel the need to, don't feel obligated. My philosophy is "If it ain't broke, why fix it?" But if your dd is having any difficulties the dx may shed further light on the subject to better guide you in assisting her to overcome those deficits.”

“Hi everybody! I'm mom to an 18 year old daughter who, after 14 years, still does not have a diagnosis! Broward Schools consider her OHI. Her neurologist says processing disorder/ADHD. Either way - she's a great kid..okay, woman! My baby grew so fast!”
