In my research, all of the groups that I found were either parents who had children with Aspergers or women who have a significant other or children (or both) with Aspergers. Chess is being adapted to exploit metacognition and situational analysis. As a result, family relationships may be strengthened and channels to personal growth developed. "Chess Therapy" as its been called builds on strong breakthrough energies as the power of the game becomes a gateway to understanding the natural world.

I am starting this group to help connect families with special needs children. I am hoping to find a great group of families that can help take on the world together. I am a parent of two children on the spectrum and a ten month old. I look forward to creating a play group where our children can play together without any judgments.
