This is a social group for young adults with Aspergers who want to make friends and hang out.
This group is for parents of children with sensory processing issues either due to autism or with out autism. My son is 9, and I have been dealing with SPD for over 7 years. I know there is a great group already out there, but they meet in Durham, and I would love something a little closer to home. If you are interested in sharing tips, information, ideas or just need someone to talk to once in a while, this is what I hope this group will become.
We are arranging this group for parents to find support through one another and to help link them to services that could be beneficial to their child. Whether your child has a specific diagnosis (autism, Down syndrome, ADD/AHDH), has developmental or cognitive delays or you just have general concerns, this group could be for you. We are a team of pediatric occupational therapists dedicated to children and their families. Our goal is to provide a forum for parents to interact with and learn fr …

The Autism Society, the mental/medical health, and legal professions tend to ignore the legitimate needs of those suffering from years of neglect and abuse from an ASpie spouse. We striv …

Calling all Tween Aspergers boy parents... Are there times when you feel the need to scream "Oh my gosh!" at the top of your lungs? Wouldn't it be great to scream it in a room full of adults that respond with a deep knowing smile? If ever a group of children needed a village to raise them, it is our children. If ever a set of parents needed pulling back from the brink of madness, it's us! Let's get together to laugh, cry, share, nurture and possibly do stand-up comedy-honestly we probably have s …
