This group is about enriching the lives of children with autism by educating the parents of these children giving them the tools needed to raise a child with autism. We achieve this goal by allowing parents to meet with and discuss experiences and concerns as well as share resources. We invite all those who are professionally involved in the care of individuals with autism and autistic spectrum disorders -- with special focus on the transition from adolescence to adulthood and the special needs of adults -- to share knowledge, insights and collaborate on providing direct services; planning, implementation and management of programs and services; professional development; and policy development.

We are educators and other professionals who work with persons who have ASD and other disabilities. The purpose of this group is to network, exchange ideas, and build knowledge about what techniques work with persons who have autism and multiple disabilities.

Movies and shows for kids on the autism spectrum. A series of screenings of movies and live performances tailored to the needs of autistic children. For our 'Tween age children (very roughly ages 8-14) whose lives are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (Asperger Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder-NOS, High Functioning Autism), and Nonverbal Learning Disabilities with ongoing, regularly scheduled activities that offer them the opportunity to interact and socialize with their peers.

ASAN-NYC is a social group comprised of adults on the autism spectrum who meetup for the fun of it. Others on the Autism Spectrum welcome. Support can be gotten through socialization but is not the focal point of the group.
