Meet with local people with autism or Asperger's Syndrome for friendship and discussion. Meetings are held the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday of every month, usually in a restaurant or pub. Check back to the website for location. Members can also suggest their own meetups using the "Let's meet up and ___" tool. While our dinner and coffee meetings are simply dinner/coffee and chat, anyone can suggest an activity to try for other times during the month. We are more of a social group than a …

The Square Pegs Social Club is a place for those of us who don't conform to get to know one another and make new friends without having to explain our eccentricities. So many of us have struggled alone for so long, our social skills may be lacking or misunderstood by many NT people, so this club has been created to give us a place to call our own where we are the norm. Most Asperger's groups are geared to families of diagnosed children, therapy and techniques to enable us to blend in, these thin …

The privacy is turned on on this group to protect our kids, not to keep people out. Please feel welcome to join us. This group is for verbal Autistics born in the 1990s. Currently, that means 10 -20 year olds, so I expect it will be mostly parents who will do the actual signing up and chauffering. Events will be created with Autistic tendencies in mind. Hopefully, this will allow the kids to relax, have some fun, and maybe make some friends.

Let's meet and connect around this syndrome and find what works and does not work for us. There will not be any meetup until …

Hi to everyone! My name is Tanya. I'm trying to organize the support group for parents and their brightest children, K-12, who are somewhere on autism spectrum, because I know what you are going through and how you feel. My story: I have two boys, one of them is an Asperger. His name is George, he is 11 yo. We've been going circles for 4 years before my son was finally diagnosed last December. Since then.... we are on our own. Unfortunately, Snohomish County lacks of professional specialized hel …
We are a group of understanding folks who have been diagnosed, or have family members who have been diagnosed, with either Asperger's Syndrome or PDD-NOS. Our goal is to create a group that allows us to meet others who "get" what we are going through and provides an opportunity for activities to take place, friendships to be made, support to be given, etc... As a mom of an Aspie kid, I have found that I don't often get the chance to meet other parents who understand my situation, and it sucks! I …
Making friends can be hard especially for high functioning autism individuals. We'll get to know each other and practice friend making skills with fun events and get togethers. Mostly for teens but many events are for the whole family. I am not a professional just a mom looking for friends for my teenage son.
